The Globe is my audience
Namastey dear readers,
Around the globe if I look we all are artists of our own small lives, we have got a huge canvas called life and unique palettes filled with tons of emotions. I doubt no one could ever estimate the units of measurement for emotions.
So Today's blog is about some untold emotions associated with artists and their art. 'LEARNing' takes place right from our childhood. We keep learning as toddler, as a kid, as an adult, as a teenager, as a intern and so on...
As we grow up we all are in an unbound loop of learning process which can neither be skipped nor it can be fast-forwarded like a video. What I could recall from my past memories is that majority of our learning takes place via our VISION (visualization-what we see, is what we learn and mimic the same). We all know the cunning fox, thirsty crow, the lion and the mouse stories. These stories are the origin of all the moral values we have learnt so far.
We grew and the stories that we started to watch took immense diversification in terms of emotions and ultimately the lessons they taught also changed. With change in the stories and developing brain, there came complexation too.
From lessons like Honesty is the best policy to A friend in need is a friend indeed to Love is Blind we all grew up. As technology advanced the human ideologies and basic tendencies did change. Every sector like Film industry, Education, science and technology, food industry, media and telecommunication took a 360 degree turn and explored and kept innovating new ideas. Various industries explored, innovated, discovered, installed new trends to the changing world. Since, CHANGE is the only constant around the globe and that's how an ERA is different than the previous one. Education is a sector which literally has the entire youth population belonging to the learning phase.
Right from ancient times the only way to learn and spread education was via simple chalk and board teaching-learning. This classical way of teaching continues till today in 21st century.
Revolution in education sector came through the introduction of smart boards, distance learning, online teaching and E-books. Internet connectivity brought in accessibility to almost everything and everyplace. This connectivity was sort of playing a interdisciplinary learning across the globe. Internet usage has its own advantages and disadvantages. Broadly, every individual got used to mobile phones, smart phones and internet explorer.
Let's talk about the white elephant in the room- YouTube and it's users. YouTube is one of the most widely used application. Self-learning is such a gift of this application installed in everyone's mobile phones. This has become a open platform where the entire global population is the audience. You are just one-click away from any new concept, any latest update, any skill, music premieres, movies, well the list is too long ! As I am addressing to a general audience, I'm pretty sure majority of my audience would be fond of some sort entertainment sources either movies, songs, concerts and plays. These sources are ways to acknowledge the artist's talent whether it is an actor, singer, model, dancer, painter, comedians. These artists serve dual roles; they work day and night to deliver us the best content, reproduce the imagination and put their best foot forward.
Although I'm not so fond of watching movies but for me the historical stories recreation in the movies are favourite one. One such historical event was featured in the movie - Kesari. Kesari touched my heart deeply, the story those 21 Sikh warriors. They fought for their turbans, for their respect and proved the English men that we Indians are not coward. Another story which must have touched many hearts was beautifully captured in the movie - Bajirao mastani.
To conclude - Such movies brought in some unexplained emotions to feel. I am not aware about what other viewers learnt from these movies. Let me mention what I filled in my bag of wonders - Love for my country should never die, self-esteem and self-respect are treasures of life. Every small obstacle that restricts you to move ahead, it is your own sole responsibility to fight and pave your path. "Your battle is your own battle" win over it else you loose it forever. My insights towards such art work is way different ; they would never make me a an individual who'll target religions and perceive wrong beliefs. I do agree with Jagdishwar Mishra character of Jolly LLB 2 movie that - Kisi anpadh , jaahil ne kaha hai - "Everything is fair in love and war". Because if this saying is well accepted then every terrorist acts are acceptable and every acid attacker is acceptable in the society.
Chapaak movie has highlighted the most sensitive issue of acid attacks. Here's something I have got to say - Dear narrow minded population, you are unaware of how a female's heart is. Her dreams are unmouldable. You can destroy her appearance but you can never kill her will to live and positivity in the mind.
Here's to all the artist hidden inside all of us :
कलाकार मैं , कल को आकार दूँ ,
यही है मेरा धर्म, मेरी दूसरी कोई जात ना।
